Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Welcome To ACADA

Welcome to ACADA. We wrote our Privacy Policy to the same standard we expect from our curriculum, public standards, and professional records for an important, growing industry. We do not hide how information is used, and we do not use confusing language to make privacy feel smaller than it is.

ACADA is built around education, business membership, career records, public profiles, credential verification, reviews, and standards development. Some information is private because it belongs inside an account or administrative process. Some information is public because visible professional records are part of ACADA's purpose. This policy explains the difference as clearly as we can.

Why We Collect Information

American Canine and Animal Dressing Academy ("ACADA," "we," "our," or "us") collects information to operate student pathways, PET Track education, advisor review, assessments, credential records, certificates, business memberships, professional profiles, business profiles, review tools, support, public standards, and related website services for the pet grooming and animal care community.

Information You Give Us

  • Account and identity information, including legal name, professional display name, email, phone number, credential number, business name, role, and login details.
  • Admissions, enrollment, membership, training, portfolio, certificate, assessment, advisor-review, support, billing, invoice, and business-onboarding information.
  • Public profile information you or an authorized administrator choose to publish, including biography, service area, credentials, portfolio work, reviews, business affiliations, logos, photos, hours, services, addresses, phone numbers, booking links, and website links.
  • Review, feedback, comment, complaint, case, and support information submitted by users, clients, staff, businesses, administrators, or other authorized participants.

Information Created Through ACADA

ACADA may create or maintain records such as credential numbers, lesson progress, assessment attempts, certificate records, advisor notes, administrative notes, membership status, profile status, review flags, business affiliation history, support history, standards comments, and public verification records.

Technical Information

ACADA may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, page activity, session data, cookies, local storage preferences, security tokens, form-protection data, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, improve, and troubleshoot the site.

How We Use Information

  • To create and maintain student, professional, business, credential, certificate, profile, portfolio, review, and support records.
  • To provide education, PET Track access, advisor review, assessment, credential, certificate, business membership, review-capture, and public profile services.
  • To communicate about admissions, membership, invoices, support, account access, profile changes, standards comments, review cases, service updates, and public records.
  • To protect users, animals, businesses, ACADA systems, public records, and the integrity of ACADA standards and credentials.
  • To improve accessibility, curriculum, services, security, website performance, public standards, and business tools.

Public Records Are Part Of ACADA

ACADA is designed to make professional education and standards more visible. Some information may be displayed publicly when a student, professional, business, or authorized administrator enables publication, or when ACADA publishes standards, certificates, directories, demo profiles, review summaries, credential verification records, or other public-facing ACADA materials.

Public records may remain visible or retained for verification, historical, standards, safety, dispute-resolution, or administrative purposes. Users should treat anything submitted for a public profile, portfolio, review, demo, directory, or credential record as information that may be seen by the public.

Your Responsibility Before Publishing

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, consent, privacy, and rights connected to information you submit. Do not submit client names, private addresses, veterinary records, medical information, confidential business information, copyrighted materials, photos, reviews, animal images, or portfolio work unless you have the right to provide and publish that content.

Cookies And Local Storage

ACADA uses cookies, sessions, CSRF security cookies, and browser local storage to operate logins, protect forms, remember accessibility and theme preferences, support security, and record cookie and Terms acknowledgment. By using the site after the cookie notice appears, or by selecting the acknowledgment button, you agree to ACADA's use of these technologies as described here and in the Terms of Service.

When We Share Information

We may share information with service providers, advisors, administrators, technical vendors, payment or invoice processors, email systems, support systems, and other parties reasonably needed to operate ACADA. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety, to investigate misuse, to respond to lawful requests, to address disputes, or to protect ACADA, users, animals, businesses, or the public.

Business And Profile Connections

When a practitioner profile is connected to a business profile, certain information may be visible to the business, the practitioner, administrators, and the public depending on the profile settings and approval status. Business and practitioner connections should only be requested or approved when the relationship is accurate and authorized.

Security

ACADA uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards intended to protect information. No website, database, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Users remain responsible for using strong passwords, protecting account access, limiting what they publish, and notifying ACADA of suspected unauthorized use.

Retention

ACADA may retain records as needed for education, credentialing, business membership, public verification, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, audit, archival, and operational purposes. Credential, certificate, standards, review, affiliation, and public record information may be retained for long-term historical and verification purposes.

Children And Minors

ACADA services are intended for users who can lawfully enter agreements and participate in professional or educational activity. Minors may use ACADA only with appropriate parent, guardian, school, employer, or legal authorization where required.

Changes

ACADA may update this Privacy Policy as services, standards, laws, or operations change. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the updated policy.
